Consent to Receive Text Messages

By submitting your phone number through a participating business using our system, you agree to receive automated text messages related to your service request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
What Messages You Will Receive
Our system sends automated messages on behalf of the business you contacted. There are two categories:
- Initial response message (Step 1) — A single transactional message sent immediately after you submit a service request or call the business. This confirms your inquiry was received and provides basic contact information. This message is sent based on your inquiry (prior express consent).
- Follow-up sequence (Steps 2+) — If you provided prior express written consent on the business's lead capture form, you may receive additional automated marketing messages over the following days. These messages are sent to help the business follow up on your service request. Core plan businesses send up to 2 follow-up messages; Pro plan businesses send up to 4 follow-up messages.
- Missed-call SMS (Pro businesses only) — If you called a business using our system and the call was not answered, you may receive an automated text message letting you know the business received your call and will follow up. This is sent only where the business has the Pro plan with missed-call recovery configured.
Giving consent to receive follow-up marketing messages is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out at any time.
Who Sends These Messages
Messages are sent on behalf of the local service business you contacted (e.g., a plumber, electrician, landscaper, or other home service provider). ResponsePro provides the automated messaging technology that enables these businesses to respond quickly to customer inquiries.
The business you contacted is responsible for the content of messages and for ensuring your consent was properly obtained. We act as the technical service provider facilitating delivery (operated by ResponsePro LLC). SMS delivery is powered by Telnyx.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any message you receive. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further automated messages from that business through our system.
To re-enable messages after opting out, reply START. Note: START only re-subscribes you if you previously opted out — it does not create a new subscription if you were never opted out.
Opting out applies per business number. If you have interacted with multiple businesses using ResponsePro, you may need to opt out from each separately.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the business and the business's plan. Typically:
- 1 initial response message per inquiry
- Up to 2 follow-up messages (Core plan businesses) or up to 4 follow-up messages (Pro plan businesses) over approximately 1–11 days, if you opted in to marketing messages
- 1 missed-call SMS if you called a Pro plan business and the call was not answered (where configured)
- No automated messages after you reply STOP
- No messages sent between 9 PM and 8 AM in the business's local timezone (quiet hours)
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. We do not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you according to your cellular plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
